Douglass Ness, DDS

Dr. Douglas Ness, a native Californian, has recently returned to southern California after being away for over twenty-five years. His exceptional skills and passion for dentistry and longing for adventure has taken him to such diverse places to live and practice as Alaska and China. He spent over twenty years practicing comprehensive dentistry and orthodontics in Anchorage, Alaska.

He also married his lovely wife, Flora, there and raised two children, who are now in university. He then took a leap of faith and moved with his family to Shanghai, China, to practice dentistry and implant surgery in high-end dental clinics in several major Chinese cities, such as Shanghai and Beijing. He continues to practice implant dentistry in China, periodically traveling there to care for elite clientele. His passion for learning has led him to earn recognition in several professional organizations, achieving the level of Diplomate in both the American Board of General Dentistry and the American Board of Oral Implantology. These bona fide credentials are earned through rigorous study and examinations. He continues to study in various areas of dentistry, especially dental implantology. He has also been privileged to lecture internationally on various topics in dentistry, presenting in Canada, Europe, and Asia.

Dr. Ness recently acquired Crown Dental Group as his next professional challenge. His goal is to make Crown Dental the premiere clinic for full service dentistry in the South San Diego Bay area, by assembling a talented team of general dentists and specialists, as well as support staff.
